Just as Leona had frozen solid under Rigan’s dangerous aura—
「[Lord-of-the-Night]: Aaaagh! Don’t go easy on him, mortal! If you let him off here, This Lord will not stand for it!
[Rolling-Rolling-Roulette]: Ah, excuse me. This is a crucial moment, so please be quiet.
[Tooth-Decay-King]: That Lord seems way too over-invested since last time.」
A massive wave of jeers rained down on the one constellation who broke the mood.
Fortunately, Rigan and Leona were so focused on each other that they didn’t notice the commotion.
“What’s wrong? Can’t do it? Where did that bold attitude from earlier go—telling me to be the Omega?”
Rigan stared at Leona, who couldn’t move an inch.
Leona’s lips opened and closed repeatedly as if trying to say something.
Watching her, Rigan let out a cold sneer.
“Yeah, even with ten mouths, you’d have nothing to say. Or… are you scared of being done in by an Omega?”
Leona’s face scrunched up.
A suppressed sound escaped from her lips, which had been hovering between opening and closing.
“Ah…”
“Good, let’s hear what you have to—”
But Rigan couldn’t finish his sentence.
“Ah~ Ah… ACHOO!!”
An enormous sneeze exploded from Leona’s mouth.
Because he had been leaning in so close, Rigan’s face stiffened as he took the full blast of droplets.
“……”
“Oh, sorry. I tried to hold it in, but… Ah, anyway, what did you say? I kept feeling a sneeze coming, so I didn’t catch it.”
Leona laughed awkwardly.
—
「[Trash-Can-Commander]: Whoa, so does that mean the reason Leona looked frozen by Rigan’s words earlier was…
[Handful-Group]: Yes… not because she was flustered by Rigan’s new side, but because she was genuinely cold…」
—
“This magic is made of cold air, so it’s really, really freezing, okay?”
Leona, having finally seen the constellations’ chat, retorted.
“If I’m unlucky, I’ll totally catch a cold—huh?”
Leona, mid-sentence, suddenly lifted her head as if something had occurred to her.
“Whoa! Rigan, I just had a genius idea!”
“Given your level, a ‘genius idea’ is clearly inferior to a royal kindergarten student, so I recommend you just keep your mouth shut.”
Rigan, vigorously wiping his face covered in spit, sneered.
Whether Rigan’s face was scrunched up or not, Leona ignored him and asked with sparkling eyes.
“Hey, how much longer do you think you can keep this ice magic going?”
“What?”
Magic—from Leona’s mouth?
Rigan was slightly startled by the unexpected question.
“Are you talking about the Frost Bind spell?”
“Yeah, that Fro-something Bind magic! How long can you keep casting it?”
“It’s Frost Bind, not Fro-something Bind. Normally about an hour… but right now I’m not in good condition, so thirty minutes at most. But why are you asking?”
Rigan answered obediently.
And at his answer, Leona shouted with a delighted voice.
“Great! This is really, really cold, you know? If I stay like this, I’ll catch a cold soon!”
Leona pointed at her own body, tightly bound by the ice ropes.
“…Is catching a cold something to be that happy about?”
Rigan simply couldn’t follow Leona’s way of thinking.
When he stared at her with a bewildered look, Leona frowned in frustration.
“No, you idiot! If you catch a cold, your nose gets stuffed, right? Then I won’t be able to smell the pheromone stuff either! See? It’s a great idea, isn’t it?”
At her bright, cheerful remark, the room fell silent in an instant.
—
「[Dongin-Not-Seoin]: Ah, there it is.
[Female-Char-Simp]: Alright, everyone. Following the nose-breaking, we now have the snot-shield.
[High-Performance-Juicer]: Even I can’t juice this one. Omegaverse is a failure…」
—
The constellations who had been cheering at the suggestive tension Rigan had shown earlier all declared defeat.
—
「[Handful-Group]: Looks like romance just isn’t happening here.
[Only-Pure-Hearted]: I’m too embarrassed to even watch;;; Poor Rigan…」
—
“Who are you pitying?!”
Rigan shouted angrily.
But his misfortune didn’t end there.
*Bang—*
“Lady Leona, Sir Rigan! I heard you were in great—!”
Nathaniel, the high priest who had been called in the middle of the night upon emergency request, froze as he opened the door and entered.
“W-What in the world…”
He couldn’t close his mouth at the shameless sight before him.
Rigan—clearly agitated (he was just angry).
Leona—bound by magic and shivering (the ice magic was just cold).
“Sir Nathaniel, this isn’t what it—”
Rigan, realizing something was wrong, tried to quickly explain the situation, but Nathaniel’s shocked cry was faster.
“H-Holy Judgment!”
*KABOOM—*
“Ugh!”
A pillar of light descending from the ceiling struck Rigan directly.
“I am truly sorry for the misunderstanding, Sir Rigan.”
Nathaniel apologized to Rigan over and over again.
“…Not at all. It was a situation that could easily be misunderstood, so I understand.”
Rigan said that, feeling slightly guilty.
Honestly, he couldn’t confidently say he had no ill intentions at that moment.
‘No. That wasn’t me. That was just because I was overstimulated by the pheromones, that’s all.’
Rigan shook his head vigorously, making excuses to himself.
But the more he did, the more the embarrassing lines and actions he’d uttered kept surfacing in his mind.
—
「[Trash-Can-Commander]: He said he miiiight go eaaaasy~~
[Fallen-Power-Warrior]: Cry pre~tty ~~ if you~ lolol
[Rolling-Rolling-Roulette]: He said he miiiight forgive~~」
—
“Stop it!”
Rigan couldn’t bear the constellations’ teasing and shouted.
Startled, Nathaniel examined him all over.
“Sir Rigan? Are you alright? Is something hurting again…?”
“No… no. I’m fine.”
In fact, Rigan’s condition was perfectly normal now.
While he had been unconscious after being struck by ‘Holy Judgment,’ the duration of the <Omegaverse> that the constellations had set up had completely expired.
Leona, who had already received a thorough examination from Nathaniel before Rigan, approached and spoke.
“High Priest, are you done checking Rigan?”
“Yes, we’ve confirmed that there are no abnormalities in his body for now. Of course, there may be aftereffects, so I recommend continuing to be cautious.”
“Thank you, Sir Nathaniel. You’re always working hard for us.”
“Not at all. I’m merely assisting from a safe place like this. Compared to me, Lady Leona, who faces the threat directly, has it much harder.”
Watching Leona and Nathaniel laugh and chat together somehow soured Rigan’s mood.
He cut into their conversation and stood up.
“If the examination is done, I’ll be taking my leave now.”
“Ah, yes. Then I’ll have a magic carriage prepared at the temple entrance. Please take your time coming out, both of you.”
Nathaniel finished his greeting and left the room.
As soon as he was gone, the constellations’ chat window flickered.
—
「[Dongin-Not-Seoin]: Looks like this episode is over too, and the handsome high priest is gone, so let’s head back as well.
[Handful-Group]: Omegaverse… it was a good premise, but it’s a shame it flopped. Still, the snot-shield was fresh and fun.
[Lord-of-the-Night]: This Lord cannot accept this! A man rejects the meal placed before him—(*blocked for inappropriate content.)
[Only-Pure-Hearted]: Isn’t that person being way too over-invested? Anyway, I personally hope the next event is a bit more lovey-dovey^^」
—
One by one, the constellations ended the dimensional streaming and returned to their own dimensions. Watching them, Leona was startled by a sudden thought.
‘The angel! Come to think of it, the angel has been way too quiet all this time!’
Ever since the Vampire Lord had shocked him by asking if the vampire clan had defected to the Demon King’s army, he had disappeared at some point.
Worried about the angel, Leona hastily stopped the departing otherworldly gods and asked,
“Excuse me, constellations! What about our angel? Do you happen to know why he’s not showing up?”
—
「[High-Performance-Juicer]: Ah, the newbie? What was it… he said he was going to look into what happened between the vampire clan and the Demon King while he was asleep.
[Tooth-Decay-King]: If the newbie’s too busy to open the channel, we won’t be able to visit for a while either. Take care until then!」
—
With the last constellation’s words, the chat abruptly cut off.
Leona was briefly bewildered but soon nodded.
‘Well, at least that means nothing troublesome will happen for a while, right?’
With all the pranks the angel and constellations had pulled these past few days, even Leona with her steel-like stamina was accumulating fatigue.
Leona resolved to spend the weekend resting well at home with her family, eating good food.
“What are you dawdling for? Did your feet get stuck to the ground or something?”
Rigan, who had been walking ahead nonchalantly whether the constellations left or not, called out to Leona.
‘Yahoo! That means I don’t have to see that insufferable face all weekend! I’m so happy!’
Leona happily moved her steps forward.
She had no idea that she would be facing that insufferable face again tomorrow.
