AGR 07
by MartinChapter 7
hrough that tiny gap, the two men’s actions were visible.
Kwon Jae-eon sipping champagne, and the man sitting side-by-side next to him.
After affectionately exchanging a few words, Kwon Jae-eon leaned his upper body toward the man and brought his head close at an angle.
Then his large hand fondled the man’s chest and……
“Crazy…… bastard.”
She had muttered it out loud without even realizing it.
Thinking this was their chance, the team members sitting around the meeting table chimed in one after another.
“Agreed.”
“To think he’s causing trouble with a man now.”
“What a waste of a face.”
“No, but still, we should respect his tastes.”
Then someone added another comment.
“Still, if it’s a kiss like that with the youngest prince, wouldn’t it be worth doing? If it were me, I’d want to do it.”
At that, the people who were hurling curses instantly flipped their attitudes.
“Right.”
“If the partner is the youngest prince…… of course, right?”
The youngest prince.
The people in the PR team and Legal Team called Kwon Jae-eon by that name.
He was the youngest of the three grandsons of Chairman Kwon Seok-ho, the owner of Taeseong Group, but he was also the grandson who monopolized Chairman Kwon’s affection.
The eldest grandson, Kwon Ki-hyuk, was the Crown Prince; the second grandson, Kwon Soo-hyung, was That Damned CEO Kwon; and the third grandson, Kwon Jae-eon, was the Youngest Prince.
The Crown Prince was undeniably the Crown Prince. He was called that because he looked like he would fit the role even if he became Emperor tomorrow.
As for That Damned CEO Kwon, every single incident he caused was so trashy that the PR team and Legal Team unanimously judged him to be the absolute worst.
Though Kwon Jae-eon caused trouble just like That Damned CEO Kwon, he was amusingly under the protection of both the PR team and the Legal Team because he was the Youngest Prince.
When she first joined, I-seo didn’t understand that at all and asked about it, to which a senior on the Legal Team answered:
“Whenever That Damned CEO Kwon causes trouble, a settlement always follows. It’s not just taking down articles; it’s victim settlements, witness settlements, party settlements—there’s no nuisance quite like him. But with the Youngest Prince, all we have to do is take down the articles. He handles the settlements and silences the witnesses all on his own, to the point where it feels almost like an incident with no physical reality.”
“No physical reality? Fake…… so, what, you mean it’s like a self-directed drama?”
“It means his cleanup is just that spotless. Look at how many women have passed through his hands, yet not a single one clung to him awkwardly. It’s super clean and crisp.”
So this time, too, they said it would pass without major issue as long as they managed to take the video down somehow.
“Alright, alright. Let’s work instead of satisfying our personal desires watching the Youngest Prince’s video. Work.”
At the team leader’s words, the team members reset the atmosphere and jumped into a meeting on how to resolve the matter quickly.
“In Telegram’s case, requesting deletion will likely be ignored or drag on forever, so it seems faster to catch the video uploader.”
Everyone nodded at someone’s opinion, agreeing it was right.
As the youngest member, I-seo nodded her head lifelessly while continuously working her pencil on her notebook.
“How about asking the club for cooperation? Since that was filmed with a camera pressed right up against the door gap, we should be able to identify the video leaker just by sharing their CCTV footage.”
At that moment, the tip of I-seo’s pencil stopped.
Ask the club for cooperation? Share CCTV footage?
“Will they cooperate easily? Citing privacy and all, it would expose everyone who visited the place, wouldn’t it?”
Snapping her head up, I-seo examined her seniors’ faces.
Perhaps because it involved the Youngest Prince who was loved by the Chairman, everyone’s eyes beamed with motivation-filled light.
“That’s why we should report it first and ask them to obtain a warrant. We can’t catch the uploader without police help.”
“We need to handle this quietly, though?”
“We can just put a non-disclosure obligation on the police. It’s no problem. I’ll take care of that.”
She was flustered.
Why are you suddenly working so hard on this? Who knows whose face will pop out first if you do that?
“No.”
Snapping the pencil lead because she put too much strength into her hand, I-seo shook her head with a flushed face.
“From filing a report to investigating the victim and requesting a warrant—it takes too much time.”
As her voice grew unusually loud for I-seo, everyone looked at her with puzzled faces.
“Look at the view count. Few people have seen the video yet. We need to handle it quickly at a time like this.”
At that, the team leader opened his mouth with a slight furrow in his brow.
“Who doesn’t know that? We’re doing this because there’s no other way. If by any chance someone knew the owner of that club……”
“I know them.”
I know them. Very well, in fact.
Raising her hand high to guarantee she would resolve the matter herself, I-seo requested field assignment and left the company.
After calling Won-i in advance, she took the subway to Club Ryun.
Since it operated as an espresso bar before 8 PM, the club had many customers even during the daytime.
While a famous DJ presented dazzling music just like that night, hip-clad people leaned back against comfortable sofas, enjoying their coffee.
As I-seo stepped inside, the manager jogged out to greet her.
Guided to the security room, she found Won-i already checking the CCTV footage.
“You sneaky girl, you came?”
Wondering what she had seen, Won-i, with fierce eyes, poured out a bucket of curses.
“Why would I be with that man? I didn’t see a face like that?”
Recalling what I-seo had said over the phone that night, Won-i stepped slightly aside to show the CCTV footage she was reviewing.
Inside the video, I-seo could be seen entering the private room.
And Kwon Jae-eon following behind her.
When Won-i clicked the mouse, footage shot from another angle played.
I-seo packing her belongings, and Kwon Jae-eon sitting down in I-seo’s seat.
“Even after this, you didn’t see him?”
Then she smacked her back painfully.
“I treated you so well, and now you try to pull a fast one on me with lies?”
Ow, ow. Letting out a pained sound, I-seo quietly accepted Won-i’s curses as curses and her smacks as smacks, appeasing her.
“It’s not that I didn’t tell you, I couldn’t.”
“Why? Worried I’d get jealous?”
“No, because I’d curse at Kwon Jae-eon, whom you admire, calling him a piece of trash.”
Then she roughly related what had happened that night to Won-i.
Normally, she would have had no reason to share such a story with Won-i, but since she was in a position where she needed help, she had no choice but to spill it.
“He suggested a threesome? And then he goes off with a guy…… That guy is insane.”
Won-i’s face flushed with rage.
“What does it come down to, then? Doesn’t it mean he tried to share my pretty, innocent I-seo with another guy?”
Share?
Hearing it put like that, she genuinely felt as if she had suffered a terrible misfortune.
“Ha, that son of a bitch.”
Pouring out curses, Won-i threw a fuss, saying, “If I ever view that bastard in a good light again, my name isn’t Jung Won-i, it’s Byeong Won-i.”
“So, Won-i.”
I-seo firmly grasped Won-i’s right hand with both of her hands.
“Please help me out.”
She needed the footage from after I-seo left her seat and the door was closed on that night.
Just who on earth was the person who filmed the video in question? She only needed to identify that person’s identity.
Without police intervention.
So that no one in Taeseong Group would ever know that I-seo had crossed paths with Kwon Jae-eon there that day.
She intended to resolve it quietly.
“Only you can do this. Please?”
Won-i stared straight at I-seo as she pleaded.
Narrowing her brows slightly, then crooking up one eyebrow.
Knowing that expression of Won-i’s well, I-seo quickly took the next step like the capable lawyer she was.
“I’ll issue one more ‘Yoon I-seo Usage Pass’.”
Having wide connections in various fields and even a foot in the political and business social circles, Won-i was giving a great deal of help to I-seo in resolving matters for the Taeseong Group owner family.
Last time, she had investigated the weekend whereabouts of That Damned CEO Kwon, Kwon Soo-hyung.
In exchange, I-seo had attended the Friday party.
“That’s too weak. This time, issue a Wish Pass.”
“A Wish Pass?”
“You know it too, don’t you? What we’re doing right now is illegal.”
It was illegal. Illegal indeed.
Just to protect Kwon Jae-eon, both I-seo and Won-i were committing an illegal act.
“Fine. Deal on the Wish Pass.”
Squeezing her eyes shut and opening them, I-seo rummaged through her bag and tore off the very back page of a spiral notebook.
She wondered if it was really something worth going this far for, but Won-i wanted a transferable physical ticket, and from I-seo’s perspective, this was better than a vague verbal promise anyway.
Because Won-i was on the clumsy side, there was almost a 50% chance she would lose the ticket.
The manager watched with an amused expression as I-seo whole-heartedly wrote out the Wish Ticket in the dark security room and Won-i waited for the ticket with an expectation-filled face.
Having completed the deal perfectly like that, the two sat side-by-side in front of the monitor, watching the footage from that night over and over again.
