For a Safe Broken Engagement

It is a misconception that people suffering from mental illnesses are weak.

Some people actively fought against their conditions.

Young Lady Liviat was one of them.

Liviat had continued writing in her diary right up until the moment she fell into the lake.

Could someone who had carefully recorded her emotions in her diary even while in an anxious state really have intended to give up on life?

Above all, there were absolutely no signs that she had been putting her affairs in order.

There was only one reason everyone believed this incident had been a suicide attempt.

“Because His Grace, the Grand Duke, said that Young Lady had jumped into the lake!”

“His Grace saved the young lady’s life. There’s no way he would lie about something like that, right?”

“His Grace, the Grand Duke, carried Young Lady all the way back to the mansion.”

It all came down to the testimony of Grand Duke Benhardt.

If someone had pushed the young lady into the lake, wouldn’t that person most likely have been the Grand Duke?

Slightly upturned, delicate eyes, pale golden hair, and lovely pink irises.

If I exaggerated just a little, she looked like an angel depicted in a holy painting.

Despite possessing such beautiful features, Liviat had never learned how to love herself.
