I Made the Grand Duke Emperor and Ran Away

“There is no shield quite like me for you, Anelia. Just enjoy it and wield me to your heart’s content.”

“I will make you the emperor, so protect me.”

Born with black hair, Princess Anelia grew up enduring all kinds of contempt.

To tear down everything surrounding her, she relentlessly amassed wealth using her talents and seized control of a powerful force in the underworld.

To execute her final remaining move, she decides to join hands with Grand Duke Argente.

“Very well. Take hold of the shield that is me and wield it as much as you like.”

Up until then, Anelia had no idea.

That the satisfied smirk curling up the man’s lips was not because of some imperial throne, but because she had walked right into his arms on her own two feet.

On the day Luan Argente became emperor as stipulated in their contract, Anelia quietly left the imperial palace and went into hiding.

She had already gathered enough wealth to live in luxury for the rest of her life, so now she truly intended to savor her freedom.

“You wielded me to your heart’s content when you wanted me, and now you’ve grown tired of me?”

The eyes of this new emperor, who had gone so far as to issue a wanted notice to hunt me down, were…… completely unhinged.

“What a bad girl you are, Anel.”

From his slanted, red lips flowed words spoken in a tone I had never heard from him before.

“What must I do to get you to hold me in your hands again?”

Wait a second, was he always such a rough man?

I was completely fooled!
