    Chapter 1

The man’s silhouette was revealed. His body was tight with muscle, without any extra fat. Jiwoo looked at his body with shaking eyes, then quickly closed them. She was scared because her heart was falling for him so deeply.

Just then, he pulled her chin toward him and warned her playfully.

    “No. Jiwoo, open your eyes.”

His voice was full of deep desire.

    “Is it hard?”

He asked as if he were being gentle, but his actions were not gentle at all.

“That’s why I asked—why did you tease me?” “When did I…!”

Tease him? She had only held his hand!

Jiwoo glared at him with disbelief. Seeing this, he smiled brightly, slid his hands behind her waist, and lifted her upper body up. That was the position Jiwoo could tolerate the least.

    “W-Wait a minute. That’s…!”

Jiwoo didn’t know why he was so excited. Exactly at what point did he become like this?

The problem started five hours ago. Jiwoo thought he was working so hard and doing great, so she gently held his hand to praise him. But he immediately wrapped his arm around her waist. She quickly broke free and ran away, but the man followed her to the end and whispered in her ear.

—Look forward to it when work is done. I’ll make sure you can’t handle it.

And now, he was faithfully turning those words into action.

    “Don’t look away, Jiwoo.”

Taking a quick breath, he spread Jiwoo’s legs wider and pushed inside all at once. For a moment, her breath stopped.

“You know I get turned on even when your hand just touches me.”

The man spoke with a very naughty look in his eyes.

“Why did you hold my hand in the middle of work and make me go crazy?”

She had only held his hand for one second, but the man had glared at her persistently for five whole hours until work ended. He showed plain feelings that he would eat her up as soon as it was over.

In the end, today’s business became a mess, and Jiwoo’s state right now was an even bigger mess.

The man didn’t even have time to take off all her clothes. He made Jiwoo neither fully naked nor fully dressed, and took her just like that.

    “Ah…”

When he stimulated her sensitive spot, a groan burst out helplessly. It was a climax once again. Jiwoo decided she couldn’t take any more and tried to run away quickly. But the man caught Jiwoo’s ankle and trapped her in his arms again. At that moment, with a loud SNAP!, one side of the bed sank down.

    CRASH.

    “Eek!”

What kind of situation is this…?

The man spat out a few dirty swear words.

“Damn bed finally broke.” “I-Is… Is the bed broken right now…?”

Shocked, Jiwoo sat up right away and fixed her clothes. She didn’t know how to react to this absurd situation. She wanted to cry, but she also wanted to laugh. She felt embarrassed at herself for being excited with pleasure in his arms, not even knowing the bed was breaking down like this.

    “L-Let’s quickly fix this first…”

As she stood up with a troubled face, the man grabbed Jiwoo again.

“Only one side fell down.” “What?”

What kind of logic is that! Whether one side fell down or two sides fell down, isn’t it broken anyway?!

“Let’s just finish what we were doing, Jiwoo.”

On the other hand, the man spoke calmly as if this was going to happen sooner or later anyway. While Jiwoo blinked her eyes in shock, he gently bit the top of her chest and mumbled.

“The bed is the bed, and you are you.” “How can you say that right now…!”

“Spread your legs, Jiwoo. Pretty, just like earlier.”

“Pfft. No, what is this situation? Ah, no. Wait a second. It tickles. Move your face away.”

Whether Jiwoo was shocked or not, the man pressed his body against hers relaxed, and whispered love into her ear.

“Now I can’t live without you.”

    It was right then.

    BANG! BANG! BANG!

Someone knocked on the front door angrily.

“Cha Jiwoo! Hey! Come out here!”

    What is that now?

How did things turn out like this?

All of this felt like a comedy, so a laugh suddenly came out of her.

How did she get mixed up with this suspicious man? This secret relationship they were doing in hiding—what genre is this anyway?!

    A few months ago.

She took a leave of absence from work on an impulse.

She had passed a hard competition to enter HK Daily, but Jiwoo couldn’t endure it anymore. Unfair rumors, the worst breakup, and all kinds of situations pushed her off a cliff.

Let’s rest a little and take time to reset. During that time, those ridiculous rumors will quiet down, too.

Thinking about what happened over the last few days made her sigh. Her ex-boyfriend, Kim Daejin, was busy raising his voice everywhere, claiming he was also a victim, while her coworkers made fun of Jiwoo. The only person who stayed by Jiwoo’s side while she silently packed her bags and left was her senior at work, Ahn Inseok.

Ahn Inseok listened to Jiwoo’s words from start to finish and stood on her side. He was a thankful person.

Jiwoo walked without a goal. Now that things turned out like this, her heart actually felt relieved. Why did she endure it like a fool, taking all that blame?

    “I should have quit earlier.”

What should she do for a living now? As she let out a small sigh because her future looked dark, she suddenly thought of her hometown.

    “Alright.”

Yeah. Let’s go down to Hanju City. How about going to her dad’s side and helping with the shop? He said he was having a hard time because he was short on hands, so this was actually better.

Jiwoo smiled softly as she remembered the sign of , the precious beer pub that had been her family’s livelihood for a long time.

Not bad. Who knows? Maybe I have a huge talent for business.

Since things ended up like this, let’s forget about being a reporter and just focus on shop work. She was sick and tired of reporting now. And she would never meet a man again.

    “I can do it. Fighting!”

Jiwoo shouted a energetic cheer and turned the corner of a building. And at that moment, she bumped hard into something tall. From the unexpected crash, Jiwoo’s body shook greatly. As she realized her bag was flying away, a firm arm came and held her waist. Only then did Jiwoo realize that the thing she bumped into was a person.

    “!” “Are you okay?”

As she raised her head in shock, she saw shoulders bathed in bright sunlight. He was so tall that his face was way higher up, so she had to lift her head a palm’s width more.

    “Yes… I’m okay.”

Can a man’s features really be this clear and handsome? From his sharp eyes to his straight nose, the man had a perfect face that fit into her view in just a short glance. He gave a light nod.

Jiwoo quickly stepped out of his arms and looked for her bag. She felt a little heat rising from the spot where she touched the man, but she tried hard to ignore it.

While she was hurriedly picking up the items that spilled out of her bag, the man bent his waist and picked up her planner. He stretched out his arm and handed it to her.

“See, you should watch where you’re going.”

His tone carried a strange scolding, but somehow the end of it was light, so it didn’t sound serious. Was it a joke? But to just call it a joke, the air around them felt way too heavy.

Was it because of the unique atmosphere this man had?

He definitely looked different from other people. It wasn’t just because of the expensive suit wearing over his firm and well-proportioned body. Even in one short movement, you could feel a power that made people focus on him. He felt like an overwhelming top predator, like a tiger, who could get whatever he wanted without raising his voice.

Wait, but didn’t he also not look where he was going?

A moment later, she felt shocked at his words.

“Thank you for picking it up for me. But…”

As Jiwoo took the planner, she continued speaking.

“I think you should also watch where you’re going. We bumped into each other together, didn’t we?” “What?”

The man couldn’t hide his shock and let out a chuckle. Jiwoo turned her back quickly.

    “Well then, I’ll be going.”

As she walked past the man, she heard him let out an amused chuckle.

    Whatever.

She didn’t want to get involved any further with someone she would never see again, so Jiwoo moved her feet quickly like she was power-walking. Looking back, the man was still looking at her. Her heart dropped. Somehow that glare felt burdensome, so Jiwoo quickly hid into an alleyway.

His gaze stayed on the back of the woman moving farther away for a long time.

Her shaking eyes drew a line somewhere inside his heart. He didn’t like the feeling, which felt like a storm rising in a quiet lake. Still, he should have stopped there. But her clear face bothered him in a strange way, so he ended up teasing her.

Then she ran away like a squirrel. He probably wouldn’t see her again, but somehow he felt a bit disappointed.

Finding the situation funny, he let out a low laugh, and Secretary Jeon, who had just finished parking, came running over out of breath.

“Executive Director, I will take you inside.”

Song Eunho, the second son of the CEO of Songhwa Food, which was the biggest company under Songhwa Group.

He walked into the building with his secretary. Just then, Secretary Jeon began to sigh deeply and complain. As the younger brother of his close friend, Secretary Jeon was closer to being an acquaintance to Eunho than just a simple secretary.

“By the way, Executive Director, are you really going to do it? Going to Fighting Beer or whatever place to get the spicy rice cake brand rights? The CEO is being too much, too. He could just leave those kind of tasks to the sales team now.”

    Eunho corrected his secretary’s words.

“Not ‘Fighting’, but ‘Bravo’. . The one in Hanju City.” “Ah, is the shop name important right now! Whether it’s Bravo or Fighting, the important thing is that it’s obvious you’re going to suffer a lot, Executive Director!”

A chuckle leaked out from Eunho. Just thinking about that task gave him a headache.

“Well, I’ll have to endure and try.”

Still, won’t I end up going in the end?

The woman’s face, remaining like an afterimage, floated in his mind for no reason. For some reason, he had a feeling that he would see her again.
