    Special Side Story 1

Ten months had passed since Eunha and Taeyang were born.

Around 11 p.m., classical music played softly throughout Han-Ah and Jung-Han’s house. The low melody of a cello filled the room, with the sound of a violin layered over it.

The pleasant melody naturally brought a smile to Han-Ah’s lips.

For Han-Ah, who spent every day like a war while raising the children and working, this was a rare moment of peace.

“Should I bring you something to drink?”

Jung-Han, who had just finished showering, approached Han-Ah, who was sitting on the living room sofa.

Han-Ah had her eyes closed as she listened to the music. She turned toward her husband with an even deeper smile.

    “You’re already done showering?”

“Yeah. Do you want some juice? Or sparkling water?”

    “No. I don’t want anything.”

She tapped the seat beside her. It was her way of telling him to come sit next to her.

Jung-Han sat beside Han-Ah. His arm naturally wrapped around her shoulders, and his lips gently touched her cheek before pulling away.

Han-Ah softly intertwined her fingers with his. The warmth of their joined hands, mixed with the classical music, made her feel even more comfortable.

“You had a hard day today, didn’t you?”

Han-Ah thought about everything that had happened during the day.

“I didn’t even have time to eat.”

“You should eat while you work.”

“There are just too many divorces these days.”

Han-Ah sighed. Thinking about the overflowing number of lawsuits, a long sigh escaped her without her realizing it.

    “Divorce lawsuits aren’t fun anymore.”

Jung-Han looked at Han-Ah with concern as she seemed lost in thought.

He had always supported his wife’s work. Even after marrying him, her life belonged to her. He believed that all he needed to do was support and love her from the side.

Even so, after hesitating for a while, he carefully asked,

“Do you want to take a break for a while?”

    Han-Ah thought for a moment.

“Can I really live without working?”

Han-Ah had lived each day fiercely, always doing her best. She had never wasted even a single day of her life, so the idea of resting felt unfamiliar to her.

    “Just until you feel recharged.”

“Ever since we had the children, divorce lawsuits stopped being fun. That’s the thing I’m best at.”

    Jung-Han quietly listened to Han-Ah.

“Maybe I’m just too exhausted from having the kids and raising them on top of everything else…”

“Should we hire another nanny for the nights?”

At Jung-Han’s suggestion, she smiled and shook her head.

“I can’t even spend enough time with them during the day. I don’t want to leave the children in someone else’s hands at night too.”

Even though they were both busy, they were doing their best to raise their children. The two workaholics left work exactly at six every day and came home to take care of the children together.

“Let’s think about it together. We’ll decide what would be best for you and for us.”

    “Yes. Thank you.”

Han-Ah always liked having conversations like this with Jung-Han.

The two of them silently looked out the window for a while. The colorful night view outside looked as beautiful and dazzling as their married life.

    “Is this what happiness is?”

Jung-Han gently rested his cheek against the top of Han-Ah’s head and spoke softly. His low, pleasant voice made her heart flutter.

    “Are you happy?”

She looked up at him and asked playfully.

Meeting her gaze, he gently rubbed the tip of his nose against hers.

    “Yeah.”

    “How happy?”

    Jung-Han lovingly stroked her arm.

“You know there’s no way to express it.”

She smiled sweetly and slowly opened and closed her eyes.

She imagined the twins sleeping in their room. Just thinking about the children, who had inherited only the best qualities of their mother and father and were especially beautiful, made her smile.

    “Why?”

She shook her head as if it were nothing and closed her eyes again.

“I just thought about the kids, and it made me happy.”

    “Eunha and Taeyang?”

    “Yes.”

Although they had been born only ten minutes apart, the siblings had completely different personalities.

Eunha, who had a sensitive nature, still could not sleep through the night. She woke up every three or four hours and fussed because she was sleepy.

Taeyang, on the other hand, slept very deeply once he fell asleep. Even if someone carried him away, he would not notice. And whenever he happened to cry, he would soon smile brightly as if he had never cried at all.

    “Your mother said something.”

    “Hmm?”

“She said Eunha is exactly like you.”

    Jung-Han looked confused.

    “Why me?”

“She said you were just as sensitive as Eunha when you were a baby.”

Jung-Han blinked a few times before giving a small laugh as he understood what she meant.

    “She said that?”

Back then, Jung-Han had been raised more by a nanny than by his mother. His mother had healed her wounded heart from her unfaithful husband by throwing herself into her work.

Of course, she did love Jung-Han, but when she was young, her sense of betrayal toward her husband was too great for her to focus only on her son. She had tried hard to firmly protect her own power. In a way, perhaps she had instinctively been trying to protect her territory.

    “I was gentle like Taeyang.”

Han-Ah proudly raised and lowered her eyebrows once. Jung-Han looked at his wife lovingly.

“That’s right. Taeyang takes after you, Han-Ah.”

“They’re both so lovely and precious.”

    “Of course.”

She glanced toward the door of the room where the children were sleeping.

Han-Ah wanted to enjoy some more time alone with her husband, and she desperately hoped that this rare moment of peace would not be disturbed.

“I wish our Eunha and Taeyang would just keep sleeping like this.”

After saying that, she covered her mouth with the back of her hand and yawned.

    “Are you tired?”

    “No.”

She said no, but there was a lot of sleepiness in her voice.

She used to be a night owl, but after having children, she found it difficult to stay awake past midnight. Balancing work and childcare had taken away some of her stamina. She used to have no trouble staying up all night, but now she had become the kind of person who would slowly fall asleep the moment she put her head down.

    “It’s only eleven.”

He spoke as if he were complaining and secretly stroked her ear. His signal was obvious.

She giggled and snuggled into his arms. She did not dislike her husband’s warmth either.

“They say going to bed early is good for your health.”

    “That’s true, but…”

“We haven’t exercised at all lately, have we?”

“That’s true. Come to think of it, I don’t even remember the last time we went running.”

    “Should we exercise?”

    “…What? All of a sudden?”

He straightened his back from where he had been leaning against the backrest. Han-Ah looked at him in disbelief.

“You mean go exercise right now?”

“No. An exercise that only the two of us can do.”

The hand that had been resting on her shoulder and gently stroking her arm moved toward her chest.

    Her eyes followed his hand.

Seeing exactly what he was trying to do, Han-Ah giggled and lightly kissed his lips.

“Oh, an exercise only the two of us can do?”

Jung-Han held her chest with his warm hand.

    “How about something intense?”

Just then, the calm melody also became more urgent. Their breathing naturally grew faster, and there was a sense of urgency in the way they touched each other.

His hand, which had been moving over her clothes, slipped underneath them. She breathed heavily and buried her face deep against his neck. Every time she exhaled, her hot breath stirred his emotions.

Han-Ah gently held the area beneath Jung-Han’s ear between her lips. His skin had no taste. That was natural since he had just showered. Only the pleasant scent of his skin remained softly around her nose.

“Should we go to the bedroom?”

He asked in a husky, lowered voice. She raised her eyes toward the bedroom door.

    “The kids are there.”

    “Then let’s do it here.”

Jung-Han quickly laid Han-Ah down on the sofa.

Before he climbed on top of her, Han-Ah crossed her arms, grabbed the bottom of her T-shirt, and pulled it over her head. She supported her upper body at an angle with her elbows and looked at him.

Jung-Han also took off his T-shirt without taking his eyes off her pale skin. Then he immediately leaned over her and began removing her bra.

He gently kissed her, and her breathing became even more hurried.

    “What should I do…? I think I’m going to make a sound…”

She whispered urgently and moistened her lips with her tongue.

Jung-Han moved up from her neck and kissed her lips.

    “Don’t make it too loud.”

He whispered between their touching lips.

“I don’t want us to be interrupted.”

Whatever other time it was, when they were making love, Jung-Han wanted her all to himself.

Han-Ah wrapped her arms around Jung-Han’s neck and slowly closed her eyes.

Their tongues intertwined between their lips. Their hurried breathing and the warmth between them blended together.

Jung-Han’s body pressed against her lower body.

    “What keeps poking me?”

He raised his head with a puzzled frown.

“What do you think it is?”

Han-Ah burst out laughing and lifted her head to find her husband’s lips again.

Their lips met once more, burning even more passionately.

Jung-Han slipped his hand beneath Han-Ah’s pants. She also seemed impatient and hurriedly undid the buttons of his pants.

His body reacted to her touch. At that moment, as if they had made a silent promise, their eyes met. The desire rising between them made it difficult even to breathe.

As if they had planned it together, the two of them simultaneously began pulling down each other’s lower clothing.

Their pants and underwear fell to the floor beside the sofa.

Han-Ah’s legs had already wrapped tightly around Jung-Han’s waist.
